General Information

Description: Managing your pain: the difference between curing and healing and the role of safe, alternative care. We will share our stories and our grief. We will meet allopathic and alternative care healers. We will laugh and cry together. We will do creative work and make space for our suffering. We will begin the healing process.

Cost: The 2-day seminar is free. The only cost associated with the seminar is for one night's lodging at the Holiday Inn Express across the street, or in less expensive, local motels within walking distance.

Healing Retreat in Pain Management
General Information

Dr. Julian Ungar, an award winning neurologist and board certified member of the American Academy of Pain Management, is offering this retreat as a gift to his clients and the community. Dr. Ungar is a practicing neurologist in Indiana and has lectured widely on the human dimension of pain and suffering as well as chronic pain, RSD, and fibromyalgia.

Trained in the U.K. and Neurological Institute of New York, Dr. Ungar has degrees in music, literature, theology and ancient near eastern languages and literature. He will bring his life and work experience to the discussion of managing pain which encompasses the difference between curing and healing and the role of safe alternative care.

He is joined this weekend with the following doctors and practitioners who wish to share their life and work experience in an effort to open the possibilities of holistic healing methods along with traditional medicine.
