Julian Ungar, M.D., PhD.
Neurology
Dr. Julian Ungar is a neurologist with experience in electrodiagnosis, including
E.M.G., E.E.G., and evoked potentials. He is also experienced in pain management and
uses a variety of techniques such as trigger point injection therapy when
conventinoal physical therapy and chiropractic treatment has been completed.
Dr. Ungar trained in England and did his residency and fellowship at Columbia
Presbyterian Medical Center in New York and has held teaching positions in the
Medical College of Pennsylvania as well as Harvard Medical School.
As a neurologist, Dr. Ungar is highly trained to treat disorders of the nervous system, which include diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. Some
of the more common problems that neurologists diagnose and treat are strokes,
epilepsy (seizures), headaches, dementias (Alzheimer's disease), multiple sclerosis,
Parkinson's disease, and various forms of pain. Neurologists may serve as
consultants to other physicians and may provide long-term care to patients with
chronic neurological disorders.
Dr. Ungar is sympathetic to alternative strategies when conventional treatment
fails. He is concerned about the human dimension of pain and suffering.

PATIENTS ABLE TO TRAVEL
Arrangements can be made at two local hotels/motels for inexpensive rates 3 miles from our office. MRIs, sleep studies and diagnostic testing are also available at the hospital within minutes from our office.
DIAGNOSTIC FACILITY
Our office includes a facility with an electrodiagnostic laboratory including EMG, EEG, telemetry, blood drawing lab which sends out to National Laboratory such as those used to diagnose rare hereditary and genetic disorders, with MRI and CT within minutes of the office as is the sleep lab.
PAIN MANAGEMENT
In office sedation by our CNA with a C-arm "clean room" for epidurals, nerve blocks, BOTOX®, sympathetic blocks and peripheral nerve blocks. In office myofascial massage therapy, physical therapy modalities and trigger point work for patients such as those suffering from fibromyalgia and chronic pain.
